Community Service
Community service is an important part of the Panhellenic Club of Annapolis.
YWCA of Anne Arundel County
The YWCA of Anne Arundel County sponsors a safe house which provides shelter for abused women and children. It is our mission to donate needed items to the house as well as to the women. Over the years we have given purses, tote bags and small suitcases, toiletries, children’s books and toys, as well as paper towels and toilet paper. At Christmas time we replenish the supply of sheet sets, towels and much needed pillows.
Lions Club - Eyeglass Recycling
Imagine if you could help a child read, an adult succeed in his job, or a senior maintain her independence. Panhellenic Club of Annapolis members support their community by donating used eyeglasses which are distributed to people in need.
Ronald McDonald - Aluminum Pull Tabs
Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Panhellenic Club of Annapolis members collect pull-tabs from soda, soup and food cans which are turned in for cash per pound benefiting the families of RMH. Collecting pull-tabs for recycling is an environmentally friendly practice as well!
